Happy New Year...2010!

May the Lord bless you in the upcoming year!

IT'S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE...
Matt and Jennifer Ross will be moving after December to start another journey in their lives...parenthood! Josh and Michal will continue to be your Upper E CARES Team. Matt and Jen would like to say, "We have truly enjoyed serving you and hope that we have touched your lives like you have touched ours. We will be back to volunteer at events and to introduce you to our new baby when s/he arrives in July!"
God bless you!

Children's Medical Center Toy Drive

Make the holidays a little merrier for young patients at the Children's Medical Center by donating new toys and games. Fliers will be posted at each Upper E building. Drop-off locations will be at the Leasing Center Office and the laundry rooms at Coral Gates and the Driftwood buildings. The deadline to donate is Tuesday, Dec. 15.
Below is a message from Children's Medical Center:
When considering your donation of a new gift or toy, please remember that sixty percent (60%) of our patients are under the age of 3 and that Children’s Medical Center Dallas provides services to many teenagers, as well.
Please note that only new stuffed animals may be accepted as donations due to infection control policies. Gift cards are also welcomed from Wal-Mart, Target and ToysRUs and will be used to purchase supplies and specific requests from patients. Your interest is very much appreciated!

Home Sweet Home

Upper E has made a few improvements to make your home more enjoyable. Here are just a few that you may have noticed...

Kahlua & Sherman Oaks received an exterior paint job.
All laundry centers were updated.
A new courtesy patrol company was hired.
Perennial flowers were added to the communities.

In addition, the Earth Day recycling bins will now be available for use until the end of the month of April. (Due to company policy, the bins cannot be permanent. However, we can, upon request, provide a list of Dallas area recycling stations or visit the City of Dallas website. )

Pay rent online, submit service requests and more at UpperE.com.

Mocktails & Appetizers

On Thursday night, the ladies of Upper E enjoyed an evening of sparkling mocktails and delicious appetizers. We really wanted to go all out for you and hope that those in attendance really felt special. It was all for you! Here are some pics...

Community Garden @ Silver Sands

We planted a beautiful garden at the Silver Sands Complex. We all had a great time playing in the dirt! The hardest part was breaking up the soil, but with many hands helping, it went by in a flash. The kids found a total of 37 cents and lots of other odd things. They also learned that earthworms are good for the soil (after one little worm was killed!) Stop by and see the bluebonnets that are just beginning to bloom. =]
